Staff profiles

Founder Louise Manning trained with the Inland Revenue and spent several years with them before deciding, in 1979, to join the opposition. She founded the firm in 1990.

Janice Spencer heads the accounts department. Qualifying as a Chartered accountant in 1982 she joined the firm in 1993.

Paul Channing is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Part of his career has been spent in industry so he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the problems facing today's owner managed businesses.

Sharon Crook is our multi-tasking receptionist. She heads up the payroll bureau, is a qualified bookkeeper and also a mine of information on all manner of things.

Nigel Ball assists Louise with personal tax matters. Nigel represents Great Britain as a member of the Prone Rifle Shooting team; is a World Championship Gold Medallist and also holds the Queen's Medal. If he's not in the office the chances are he is abroad earning further medals.

Alison Butler recently won a national prize for the highest examination marks. She deals with clients' book keeping (often on the client's premises), payroll and Sage queries.

Alistair McEwan joined our accounts department in 2008 having left a large multinational firm. He is currently studying for his membership of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.

Phil Buse joined the firm in 2006 and has started the long journey towards accountancy qualification.

Phillipa Holman joined in 2004 and deals with our own sales and purchase ledgers. If you would like to arrange a standing order or settle a fee by credit or debit card please give her a call.
