Annual accounts
All businesses, regardless of whether companies, partnerships or sole traders must prepare annual accounts that show a “true and fair” view of their trading. Charities and most trusts also need accounts.
Company accounts must comply with the Companies Acts, and sole trader and partnership accounts will be used as the basis for completion of tax returns. They will also be used for mortgage applications and claims to Tax Credits.
